Today’s matinee was one of the craziest theatrical experiences I have ever had. So much respacing and just THINKING- the muscle memory just wouldn’t work today since we were missing two dancers.
The REAL magic happened at curtain call. We did our final bow- and were stepping back waving- waiting for the curtain to close- when Bob (our General Waverly) steps forward. We are all...
Oh my god. At the beginning of tonight I couldn’t even hold my leg out at 90 degrees I was in so much pain. After a TON of time with Sky’s foam roller- I have it back at about 135 again.
I am in awe of this silly piece of foam. Hopefully I will be able to do the drop split at the end of Piano for my parents again. :)

AW AW AW
Oh my god. That was the cutest thing I have ever seen.
My new favorite place to work: the mezz with my cousin.
Tonight we each walked with 150 in tips. They LOVED us up there tonight.
I really love my job. And NOT just because I have made bank the past few weeks.

hahahha best scene ever
We brought back our Mean Girls gay of the day for White Christmas last week. Someone yelled “you go Glen Coco” onstage. It was pretty bad ass.
I have never been more grateful to reach the end of the week. My body hurts- I couldn’t sing tonight- and I am mentally drained from this six show weekend.
Time to buckle up though- Thursday starts our 12 shows in 8 days marathon.
One of the really fun things about working at a dinner theatre is that sometimes your audience is SHWASTED. Tonight we had a 4 top and a 10(?) top that were SO drunk- and cheering throughout the whole show. Receiving line after the show was HILARIOUS. Just one of the most entertaining meet and greets I have ever done.
And my split has never hurt more than it did tonight. OUCH.
Story:
When my cousin Michael is on the floor- he always tells his tables to cheer for him when the curtain opens for act 2 and he is onstage alone for the beginning of I Love a Piano.
Tonight he was not on the floor.
Tonight I was.
Tonight I told all of MY tables to cheer for him at the beginning of act 2.
Tonight Michael stepped onstage and my tables ROARED with applause and cheers....
I am making a list of “my ways to a happier life” and just creating this list is making me happier. Try it. And then act upon it.
Just got back to my place after hanging out at 321 with all of the Ramblehooders. Drinks were had. Food was eaten. Photos were taken. Christmas songs were listened to.
It was the first night in a while that I really kicked back and let myself enjoy the company. I blame the peach vodka I inhaled before heading over. WHY can’t I find that in NYC?!
